Okay so its been a while. I”ve pretty much stayed on track with a couple of higher carb days in between. I lost 5 lbs the first week and 1 the next week (measuring every monday morning .. today being the 1 lb lost). That puts me at 277 which is close to my all time low. If i remember the lowest i hit was 274. The one thing i didn’t do last week is drink enough water. I’ve found that i don’t like the shops water as much. It is filtered but has a taste to it, like its too ionized or something. I’m pretty fond of the water out of our home so what i might do is get myself 3 containers to take to work and drink those. Maybe 2 for the work and one to drink at home.

Now i think i stayed reasonably in the 20 carb limit, tho i did go over on saturday with the mexican food. Another thing i had trouble with is sticking to the menu .. as in not making a new one for the 2nd week. It worked out pretty well the first week. I had the leftovers to eat the next days at work. I’ve picked out a menu for this week but haven’t been able to get to the store to buy the stuff. We’ll see how it goes.

I probably need to add exercise to the mix to help out .. sigh

Sunday

Breakfast: homemade breakfast bowl
Lunch: bacon-cheeseburger at O’Charlies
Dinner: Onion Soup

breakfast bowl: same as yesterday tho i microwaved the eggs this time .. looking for speed. The microwave egg poacher seemed to work fine with scrambled eggs. We did go out and get a couple of round egg molds to make circle scrambled egg patties to further support this breakfast meal.

Don’t worry on the O’Charlies burger .. ordered sans bun and a side of steam broccoli. How atkins compliant of me. I did eat one sugar laden walnut from Sarah’s meal.

I’ve defrosted some fish for dinner.

Update: I did defrost some cod for dinner … really! I had to run over to the parents to diagnose a CD-ROM and Mom, true to form, was handing out home cooking. I only had the onion soup, but it would have been nice to have the peach cobbler that was offered. The CD-ROM was dead so i replaced it with a spare that i had brought with me.

Saturday:

Breakfast: homemade breakfast bowl (sausage, egg, cheese)
Lunch: 2 turkey patties leftover from friday
Dinner: cashew chicken (not too bad, not really strong with flavor but better than straight chicken)

Had to get my butt to work because i was the only one covering the office. Its not so bad holding down the fort unless the phones go crazy. Thats when it gets really frustrating. Luckily (or unluckily) i wasn’t slammed.

Sarah left late this morning so she was there to remind me to take my leftovers for lunch. I could use that reminder service more often.

I think i’m all set up for turkey burgers tonight.

Breakfast: Hardees Low Carb bowl (i know, i know)
Lunch: leftover pork chop from wednesday
Dinner: herbed turkey burgers

A little bit better with the water. My goal is 2 liters at work and 1 at home. So far so good with work.

JustBlogIt extension

Cool .. I can now just right-click on a link and pop it into joeblog

I forgot my pork chop for lunch. I probably should by some eggs to cook here at work for those getting up late mornings. I did resist the temptation to do the Hardees thing again but it turned out a pretty meager breakfast here at work.

Hey .. i just turned down cake for lunch!

Breakfast: some strips of bacon (very Atkins of me!)
Lunch: Subway chicken and bacon
Dinner: something from chilisMushroom-Jack fajita with a bowl of cheddar broccoli soup. (eating out with the Parents)
2 diet rites

Im sure the Chili’s dinner killed my carb count for the day (the week?) . I had a couple of bloomin’ onion petals and one of the fajita wraps. Life is too short :) At least i stayed out of Sarah’s fries.

not motivated on water at all …. will have to force myself to drink some

I had a really hard time getting up this morning. It is rainy outside and those type of mornings always see a bit dreary and sleepy so its probably that. Got alot of sleep compared to normal. Because of waking up rather late i had to skip on the home cooked breakfast. Yesterdays lunch was pretty good so i’ll probably repeat that. Hoping for pork chops for dinner.

Went to Meijers to get a salad and the darn salad bar is gone! Oh well .. i purchased the ingredients seperately and perservered .. im tough that way.

Breakfast: Hardees low carb breakfast
Lunch: chef salad (ham, onion, cheese, cucumber)
Dinner: beer-brazed pork chops
2 Diet Rites … tangerine .. yumm

The pork chops were very good. It’s pretty rare for me to eat chops but i think i’ll save this recipe. And, if i remember, leftovers for lunch tomorrow.

I think i’ll only report my weight on a weekly basis. No reason to feak myself out by living and dying by the daily fluctuations.

Left real early this morning because of an early meeting at work so i ate on the way. At least it wasn’t mcdonalds :)

Breakfast: Hardees low carb breakfast
lunch: chicken breast, broccoli, bacon
dinner: the rest of the spinach Quiche i had yesterday. I’m not really a swiss cheese fan so i don’t think this will be on my menu, unless i try it with another cheese.

I presented at the ASQ meeting , here, tonight. Throw 2 diet rites, and 2 sausage patties to the daily total

Water isn’t as easy to get down this time around. Not sure why but i am drinking. It seems to go right through me tho .. very annoying.

okay, i’m starting this thing again. I’ll try to use this as a diary as i go along.

Start weight: 283

Breakfast: 3 eggs
Lunch: chicken breast and bacon (BACON!)
Dinner: Spinach Quiche (sarah says real men eat quiche these days .. im not so sure)
1 can diet rite

I think i made my water allotment
